Savener has successfully completed the site management works for the solar photovoltaic installations for self-consumption of the Seville Metro, a key action in the framework of the energy transition of the metropolitan transport infrastructure.

A large-scale distributed installation for more sustainable transport; The photovoltaic installation has been designed under the model of self-consumption without discharge, with a total installed power of 1,083.96 kW, generated by 1,856 monocrystalline bifacial solar modules of 645 Wp, distributed throughout 10 sites belonging to the Seville Metro network: stations, workshops and corporate building.

These systems are connected directly to the general low-voltage switchboards of each building, with common regulation from the metering system of the 66/20 kV substations, which has required the integration of a centralised dynamic anti-spill system, operated by fibre optics to connect the different connection points to the internal network.

– Installed capacity: 1,083.96 kW

– Solar modules: 1,856 units (645 Wp/unit)

– Huawei inverters: 19 units (from 15 kW to 100 kW)

– Locations: 10 stations and technical buildings

– General connection voltage: 400 V (internal network of Metro de Sevilla)

Savener has developed the complete Site Management of the project, providing a high-level technical structure

Comprehensive works management with deployment of highly specialised technical and human resources; Savener has developed the complete Works Management of the project, providing a high-level technical structure, which has coordinated the execution of a highly complex distributed installation in both urban and railway environments.

Savener’s work has included

– Continuous technical supervision of the assembly, connection and testing work at the 10 sites.

– Documentary and regulatory-technical verification of the installations in accordance with the REBT, RD 244/2019 and self-consumption regulations.

– Management and coordination between contractors, operators and promoters, guaranteeing quality, safety and deadlines.

– Technical commissioning and validation of the functionality of the anti-spill and global monitoring system.

Technical and human commitment at the service of excellence: This project is a reflection of Savener’s action model: a combination of solid technical knowledge, rigorous management capacity and total involvement of the human team at every stage. The company has been able to successfully integrate regulatory, logistical, functional and technological aspects in a demanding environment such as the Seville Metro infrastructure, providing effective and adapted solutions.

The high qualification of its staff, the agility in the technical response, and the permanent availability of advanced material and digital resources consolidate Savener as an engineering company with full capacity to lead high impact projects with criteria of efficiency, safety and real sustainability.
