Savener’s scope of work has focused on the development of civil engineering elements and the stress analysis and support design of process piping systems, delivering high-quality technical solutions in key disciplines critical to the implementation of the plant’s main systems.
Savener’s engineering team has been responsible for the structural design of the main buildings within the overall plant layout. The scope has included:
- Design of foundations and reinforced concrete structures for selected buildings and facilities.
- Structural calculations in accordance with international standards, factoring in seismic, thermal, and operational loads.
- 3D modeling and construction documentation, ensuring accurate integration with other disciplines.
- Coordination with electromechanical components and plant functional systems.
In the piping discipline, Savener has carried out stress analysis and support design for critical segments of the process piping network. The work has included:
- Thermal stress calculations, internal pressure, and combined load cases.
- Verification of allowable stress levels according to ASME B31.3, ISO 14692, and project-specific codes.
- Design and positioning of pipe supports, accounting for thermal expansion, structural displacements, and installation constraints.
- Coordination with 3D plant and structural models to ensure coherent and safe implementation.
Participation in this project consolidates Savener’s presence in the desalination sector across the Middle East and reinforces its capacity to deliver specialized engineering solutions in highly demanding environments. The contribution to Shuweihat 4 underscores our commitment to technical excellence and collaboration in large-scale, internationally relevant infrastructure projects.
