Savener has been selected to prepare a technical report that will analyse the existing possibilities in the HVAC (air conditioning) and PCI (fire protection) installations to allow the disconnection of various buildings on the Isla de La Cartuja from the current raw water network that runs through its subsoil.
This network, managed by EMASESA, transports water from the river and is currently used as a source of condensation for the cooling systems in the island’s buildings. The possibility of disconnecting these buildings from this infrastructure poses a major technical challenge, while at the same time opening the door to more sustainable solutions adapted to the future needs of the environment.
The commission, promoted by EPGASA (Empresa Pública de Gestión de Activos), highlights Savener’s capacity to take on complex projects with a high technical and patrimonial load. Among the buildings to be studied are some of the most emblematic of the 1992 Universal Exposition, such as the Navigation Pavilion, the Spanish Pavilion, the French Pavilion, the Puerto Rico Pavilion and the Pavilion of the Future.
This new project reaffirms our commitment to efficiency, innovation and sustainability in the transformation of strategic urban environments.
