Savener has carried out a new technical project at the KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology) desalination plant, focusing on the installation of a critical collector for the evacuation of reject water.
The main objective of this work was to ensure the correct operation of the system during the transition and maintenance phase of the installation, guaranteeing its structural and hydraulic reliability.
Savener’s scope included the evaluation of stresses on the piping in order to verify its integrity under different operating conditions. At the same time, a thorough review of the hydraulic calculations was carried out, both in static and dynamic conditions, to optimize flow behavior and minimize possible pressure losses or vibrations.
In the civil engineering field, the team developed the structural calculation for the foundation slab designed to support the new collector, taking into account the combined loads and ground conditions. Subsequently, the corresponding construction plans were drawn up, thus completing the design necessary for the execution of the project.
With this work, Savener reaffirms its commitment to technical excellence and multidisciplinary integration, providing efficient and safe solutions in the field of hydraulic and industrial infrastructure.
