SAVENER awarded new photovoltaic project for Airbus in San Pablo Sur

Savener has been awarded the design and development of a new photovoltaic generation system at the Airbus factory in San Pablo Sur, Sevilla, reaffirming the aeronautical company’s confidence in its experience and ability to provide innovative and sustainable energy solutions.

The project involves the installation of a total power of approximately 3 MWp, specifically sized based on the factory’s demand curve to ensure optimal use of the energy generated for self-consumption. Thanks to this new infrastructure, around 15% of the plant’s energy needs will be covered, contributing significantly to Airbus’ sustainability strategy.

The project will be carried out in different areas of the factory, with the installation of more than 6,000 550 Wp photovoltaic panels distributed across canopies

The project will be carried out in different areas of the factory, with the installation of more than 6,000 550 Wp photovoltaic panels distributed across canopies. Some of these installations will be carried out on existing structures and others will be incorporated into new canopies designed specifically for this purpose.

Depending on the location and technical requirements, the electrical connection of the installations will be carried out both on existing infrastructure and through the implementation of new transformers and connection systems to the plant’s medium-voltage grid.

With this project, Savener once again consolidates its role as a key technology partner of Airbus in the development of cutting-edge energy solutions, while reinforcing the shared commitment to efficiency, sustainability, and the transition to a cleaner and more responsible future.
