Airbus Defence & Space has awarded Savener the detailed design of the new T18 services building at its manufacturing facility in Getafe, Madrid.
The project will create new office spaces and changing room facilities designed to meet the plant’s operational needs while improving the overall functionality, organization, and working environment of the site.
The new building will be constructed on the site of the former T18 building and forms part of the ongoing growth and modernization strategy for the Getafe facility. The design has been developed with flexibility, efficiency, and future adaptability in mind, enabling the building to evolve in line with Airbus’ operational requirements.
Savener will be responsible for the comprehensive development of the project, coordinating the architectural, structural, and building services engineering disciplines required to deliver a functional, safe, and fully integrated facility within the existing industrial environment.
Particular attention will be paid to energy efficiency, sustainability, accessibility, safety, and ease of maintenance, while ensuring that construction activities remain compatible with the plant’s ongoing operations.
This new contract further strengthens the long-standing collaboration between Airbus and Savener and highlights the expertise of our multidisciplinary teams in delivering complex engineering projects for highly demanding industrial environments.
