YES. We are talking about VSP
During two and a half years SAVENER has worked on the design of a model of Subsidized Social Housing (VPO, by its initials in Spanish) capable of achieving a high level of "Real Sustainability".
This real sustainability goes beyond the mere energy saving, providing the user with very high levels of comfort and quality, and at the same time reducing operational costs of the house, thus generating a direct saving in electricity, gas and water consumption.
Although the aspect of costs is important, even more so is the fact that the house has very high levels of natural lighting, full air conditioning system, low emission materials which increase indoor air quality, flexible distribution, permanent control and safety system, and has CLASS A Energy Rating, the highest energy rating for a house in Spain.
VSP represents a real revolution and proves that an effective sustainability and intelligent design from the start can generate a product which is not more expensive than a traditional one, and - at a similar or inferior cost - presents more advantages and features than the standard Subsidized Social Housing (VPO).
Over two and a half years with the collaboration of national and international professionals in different areas, SAVENER has developed and achieved as a result a new product of a high level of comfort and services, with the highest possible sustainability and energy rating, at a reduced cost.
The initial idea was to ask ourselves whether the concept of sustainability was possible only for free-market housing and at a generally medium-high cost. Our studies have shown that even in Subsidized Special Regime Social Housing it is possible to achieve these benefits and this new concept which we have called VSP (by its initials in Spanish).
The holistic view from the beginning of the research and initial design of the VSP has led us to the concept of this model of housing. A wide range of analyses were carried out and numerous solutions were tested, from Centralized Air Conditioning Systems based on renewable sources to building systems based on integral formworks, and to Computational Fluid Dynamics to test the internal and external air.
We are proud and glad to be able to present this revolutionary bid for a new concept of sustainable, healthy and affordable housing
