Green Build International Conference and Expo, Chicago, November 2007

23,000 people participated in the most important forum on Green and Sustainable Building ever organized in the world. Savener  took part in various of the workshops organized during the four days of the convention. Important personalities of the sector held master classes and opened the debate on the latest strategies, solutions and challenges of a planet which is in need of a Green Revolution that may lead us to what has been called Natural Capitalism. The 42nd President of the United States , William Jefferson Clinton (Bill Clinton) exceptionally gave a conference which was the starting point for a debate on the strategic future of his country and the need for a new, more sustainable economic model.

Paul Hawken

Paul Hawken is an environmentalist, entrepreneur, and best-selling author. He runs ecological businesses and consults with governments and corporations on industrial ecology and environmental policy. Hawken’s books include the seminal works The Ecology of Commerce and Natural Capitalism, co-authored with Amory Lovins, which President Clinton called one of the five most important books in the world today. His newest book is Blessed Unrest, How The Largest Social Movement in the World Came Into Being, and Why No One Saw It Coming.

Thom Mayne

Thom Mayne, the 2005 Pritzker Architecture Prize Laureate, is one of the world’s most original and dynamic architects. With Morphosis, the design firm he founded in 1972, he constantly seeks new design challenges and strives to create architecture that surprises and inspires. Currently a professor at the UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture, Mayne founded the influential Southern California Institute of Architecture and has taught at universities worldwide. Morphosis has received 25 Progressive Architecture Awards, 60 AIA Awards, and has been the subject of numerous monographs and exhibitions.
