Aware of the fact that cities host at present half of the world population and that this percentage will increase to 70% in only 25 years, we are facing the  greatest transformation challenge of the 21st century. An unprecedented transformation, in size and time it will take to occur. These urban developments are already responsible, in Europe, of 50% of the consumption of resources, in particular energy and water.
